VuCast Closes $5.5 Million Series B Funding Round

Funds to Accelerate Private Wireless Datacast Service Deployments and Launch New Consumer Device Connectivity Solutions

Palo Alto, Calif. – Feb. 17, 2010 – VuCast Media, Inc., the pioneering provider of private wireless datacast services, today announced the completion of its Series B funding round. This round provides VuCast with $5.5 million of committed funds, bringing its aggregate funding to over $9 million since inception. The round was led by Artiman Ventures, a leading Silicon Valley based investor focused on early stage technology companies.

VuCast will use the proceeds to fund the next stage build-out of its worldwide network as well as to introduce first-to-market solutions targeted for portable consumer devices. Based on securing its Series B funding, VuCast has now launched a major expansion into the consumer electronics application space.
